CASM works with partners to track the messaging that state-based accounts spread across a number of languages and target regions.
Over 2021, CASM Technology and BBC Monitoring have worked together to build a new way to study China’s public diplomacy on social media. Almost 400 public diplomatic accounts were identified, and algorithms are trained across English, French, Spanish and Arabic to understand their volume of output, thematic focus and level of engagement
